New England Retail Properties Sells East Springfield, MA TOYS “R” US

Matt Halprin, Senior Vice President of New England Retail Properties, Inc. is pleased to announce the sale of the former Toys “R” Us located at 1686 Boston Road (Route 20) in Springfield, MA. New England Retail Properties exclusively represented the seller of the property, Florida based Springsan Company. New England Retail Properties secured the buyer on behalf of the seller. The East Springfield property consisting of a 42,700 square-foot building on approximately 4.38 acres sold to OSJ of Springfield LLC.

The property will become the future home to Ocean State Job Lot, the largest closeout retailer in the Northeast. The company based in North Kingston, Rhode Island operates 139 stores throughout New England, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Ocean State Job Lot is presently located at 1534 Boston Road and will be relocating to the new space.
